Inner Altar

Description:
Inner Altar is a place where individuals can go for esthetic services, spiritual healing, and transformation. The owners of this business wanted their logos to convey a witchy feel along with the power of inner healing and embracing femininity. My role was to design a primary logo to showcase their mission and a secondary logo to supplement business and marketing tools.

Process:
The biggest challenge in this project was balancing the aspects my client wanted to include with aspects of versatility in a logo. At first, I struggled to find an illustration style that fit Inner Altar’s mission without making the logo too detailed or rigid. However, through giving my client unfinished logo designs and ideas, we were able to find aspects in multiple ideas to combine into one logo seamlessly. Once I had the composition of the final logo thought out, the color versions and logotype came easily.

Outcome:
This project was my first professional outside-of-class project, which made me uber determined to design something that satisfied both me and my client. It was very valuable to gain experience in designer-to-client communication, and it gave me the opportunity to be able to refine the logos to exactly how my client imagined them. I’m very proud to have these designs “out in the real world,” and I can’t wait to see how Inner Altar grow over time.
